MetroFocus: February 14, 2020

Will a proposal to replace the raised portion of the Gowanus Expressway be enough to fix what some have called a crumbling relic of the city’s past? “Sex and the City” author Candace Bushnell is back with, “Is There Still Sex in the City?” She will join us to discuss everything from life after #MeToo to her personal nightmares with digital dating.

>>> TONIGHT ON "METROFOCUS."

WILL THE MOST RECENT PROPOSAL TO

REPLACE THE RACE PORTION OF THE

INFAMOUS EXPRESS WAY BE ENOUGH

TO FIX WHAT SOME HAVE CALLED A

KREMLIN RELIC OF THE CITY'S

PAST?

WE'LL INVESTIGATE.

THEN 20 YEARS AFTER "SEX IN THE

CITY" RESHAMED THE LAND SCAPE

DATING, THE AUTHOR IS BACK WITH

A NEW BOOK.

IS THERE STILL SEX IN THE CITY?

SHE'LL JOIN US TO DISCUSS IT.

HER OWN PERSONAL NIGHTMARE WITH

DIGITAL DATING.

>>> AS NEW YORK CITY RACES TO

EXPANDS OUR INFRASTRUCTURE

CONTINUES TO FALL BEHIND.

FOR EXAMPLE, YEARS OF NEGLECT

HAVE BROUGHT BROOKLYN'S TO A

NOTORIOUS STATE OF DISREPAIR.

NOW, SOME NEW YORKERS HOPE TO

RESOLVE THIS PARTICULAR CRISIS

BY BURYING IT ONCE AND FOR ALL.

THEY ARGUE THAT REPLACING THE

HIGHWAY WITH A TUNNEL WILL BRING

NEW JOBS, CLEANER AIR AND

GENERALLY A MUCH BETTER QUALITY

OF LIFE TO THE AREA.

JOINING US NOW AS PART OF

ONGOING SERIES, TWO PARTS OF IT.

THE NEW YORK CITY COUNCILMEMBER,

GENTLEMEN, WELCOME TO THE

PROGRAM.

>> LET ME START WITH YOU.

WHAT EXACTLY ARE YOU PROPOSING?

>> I THINK YOU SAID IT RIGHT.

THIS IS A NEGLECTED, AGING PIECE

OF AN INFRASTRUCTURE THAT WAS

BUILT IN A DIFFERENT ERA IN THE

UNITED STATES.

BUILT BY ROBERT MOSES FOR

WHATEVER GOOD OR BAD HE DID, WE

KNOW.

>> DID HE SOME GOOD, SOME BAD.

THIS WAS ONE OF THE BAD.

THE PLAN IS SIMPLE.

YOU GET OFF THE BRIDGE.

THERE IS A TRENCH THERE.

YOU CONTINUE IT.

INSTEAD OF GOING UP ON AN

EXPRESS WAY, YOU GO DOWN INTO A

TUNNEL.

THE TUNNEL WILL MEET THE BATTERY

TUNNEL IN RED HOOK.

YOU CAN GO INTO THE BATTERY

TUNNEL OR YOU CAN VEER RIGHT AND

GO INTO THE BROOKLYN EXPRESS

WAY.

GO TO THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE,

MANHATTAN BRIDGE AND OUT TO

QUEENS AND LONG ISLAND.

IT IS AN AMAZING PIECE OF

INFRASTRUCTURE THAT WOULD

TRANSFORM IT.

>> LET ME ASK YOU, HOW WOULD IT

TRANSFORM?

IT HAS BEEN REVITALIZED OVER THE

LAST 20, 30, 40 YEARS.

THE TUNNEL WOULD BE SEEN

EXPONENTIALLY.

ESPECIALLY SUNSET PARK AND ALL

THE AREAS THAT WERE FLYOVER

AREAS.

THEY'RE NOW BUSTLING AND VIBRANT

COMMUNITY THAT'S DON'T DESERVE

TO HAVE A HIGHWAY CUTTING

THROUGH THEIR NEIGHBORHOOD.

ROBERT MOSES BUILT AN EXPRESSWAY

THAT YOU CAN'T GET ON FROM

SUNSET PARK.

IT'S INSANE.

BUT SPEAKING OF SUNSET PARK, THE

ARTICLE THAT YOU BOTH, THAT YOU

CO-WROTE, YOU SAY INDUSTRY CITY

ALONE IN SUNSET PARK, YOU

PROJECTED IT COULD GENERATE $1

BILLION IN INVESTMENT AND CREATE

A TOTAL OF ALMOST 20,000 JOBS IF

THIS PROJECT WENT THROUGH.

>> IF YOU LOOK AT WHEN THEY

REDID THE HIGH LINE, WHEN THEY

PUT IN A SEVEN TRAIN EXTENSION,

WHEN THE STATE GOVERNMENT, WITH

ITS FEDERAL, CITY, OR STATE

GOVERNMENT INVESTS IN

INFRASTRUCTURE, AND YOU DO THE

FINANCING RIGHT, YOU CAN PICK UP

SO MUCH FINANCING, MONEY,

ECONOMIC ACTIVITY, JUST FROM

AROUND.

>> THESE ARE PRETTY SPECIFIC

NUMBERS.

>> YOU LOOK AT THE NUMBERS THAT

INDUSTRY CITY HAS PUT OUT.

YOU LOOK WHAT'S HAPPENING AT

LIBERTY VIEW.

THE PLAN FOR THE BROOKLYN ARMY

TERMINAL.

THE FERRY SYSTEM, ALTOGETHER,

THE PROJECTIONS WERE PROBABLY

OFF.

>> YOU MEAN MORE.

>> THIS IS A GRAND SCALE.

IN OUR OPINION, THIS IS THE NEXT

GREAT NEW YORK GRAND SCALE

PROJECT.

>> YOU KNOW, COUNCILMAN, THERE

ARE THOSE WHO ARGUE WITH ALL THE

INFRASTRUCTURE, THE IMMEDIATE

INFRASTRUCTURE CRISIS THAT NEW

YORKERS FACE, THE CRUMBLING

SUBWAY SYSTEM, THAT WE DON'T

HAVE THE LUXURY TO DIVERT OUR

ATTENTION OR OUR DOLLARS TO LONG

TERM PROJECTS LIKE THE ONES

YOU'RE PROPOSING.

HOW DO YOU RESPOND?

>> A COUPLE WAYS.

IT IS TIME TO GET BACK TO THE

GREAT PUBLIC WORKS PROJECTS OF

FDR.

YOU PUT PEOPLE TO WORK.

YOU DREAMT BIG.

THE CITY WAS BUILT BY PEOPLE,

THEY DREAMT BIG.

I THINK WE SPENT THE LAST HALF

CENTURY PUTTING OUT FIRES.

WE FORGOT TO PLAN FOR THE

FUTURE.

NOW IT IS A CRISIS.

I THINK YOU HAVE TO HAVE FOLKS

WILLING TO THINK PAST THEIR TERM

IN OFFICE.

>> WE WERE TALKING ABOUT THIS IN

THE GREEN ROOM.

AND YOU KNOW, NO OFFENSE, YOUR

FELLOW POLITICIANS, IT IS NOT

THEIR HABIT TO SPEND A LOT OF

MONEY ON PROJECTS THAT WILL BE

COMPLETED AFTER THEY LEAVE

OFFICE.

>> PEOPLE THE WARM TO BE AROUND.

SFO YOU MAY NEVER ENJOY IT.

THAT'S PART OF BEING A LEADER.

I MIGHT NEVER ENJOY THE TUNNEL.

IT IS UP TO US TO GET THAT NICK

HE MOVING.

>> WE OWE IT, NOT JUST TO THE

PEOPLE HAD A DRIVE ON THE TUNNEL

OR THE PEOPLE CREATING JOBS

THERE.

FOR THE LAST 60 YEARS, THEY

ENDURED THIS.

THEIR GRANDCHILDREN DESERVE NOT

TO HAVE TO LOOK AT THIS EYESORE.

HAVE SOME OF THE WORST ASTHMA

RATES IN NEW YORK CITY,

POLLUTION, CONGESTION, THEY

DESERVE IT MORE THAN US DRIVERS.

>> YOU KNOW THERE'S BEEN

MULTIPLE OPPORTUNITIES.

THEY ALL FAILED.

WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT?

>> THE ONE THING IS, AND IT IS

VERY SIMPLE, THAT THE EXPRESS

WAY DOES NOT HAVE A LONG LIFE

SPAN.

IN TEN YEARS, THAT THING IS

UNDRIVABLE.

THEY'RE REQUESTING TO HAVE TO

ISSUE REQUESTS TO FIGURE OUT

WHAT IS THE REPLACEMENT.

YOU HAVE TO REPLACE IT.

LET'S DO IT RIGHT.

>> IF THIS GOES THROUGH, HOW

LONG WILL IT TAKE TO BUILD?

I THINK THE TIME TO GET THE

APPROVAL, GET PEOPLE ON BOARD IS

LONGER THAN IT WILL TAKE ON

BUILD IT.

LET'S PUT IT THAT WAY.

>> WHAT KIND OF

DISRUPTION/NIGHTMARES WILL THE

NEIGHBORHOODS AND THE

COMMUNITIES HAVE TO ENDURE?

>> I THINK THE GOOD THINGS BY

BUILDING A TUNNEL, YOU CAN LEAVE

IT UP WHILE THE TUNNEL IS BEING

BUILT.

IF YOU'RE REPLACING, YOU HAVE TO

DO IT WHILE IT'S HAPPENING.

SO LEAVE IT UP.

BUILD THE TUNNEL.

FIGURE OUT HOW YOU'RE GOING TO

REALLY REBUILD COMMUNITIES.

WHILE YOU HAVE A ROAD RUNNING SO

THAT YOU'RE NOT DISRUPTING

PEOPLE.

AND THEN YOU'RE DONE.

>> WITH US WORKING ON IT, I

WOULD PUT A SIZABLE WAGER ON IT.

>> THAT I THINK NOW WE'VE GOTTEN

TO A PLACE THAT IS SO DIRE THAT

WE'RE BASICALLY HAVING

CELEBRATIONS WHEN WE GET A

HANDICAPPED ELEVATOR IN THE

SUBWAY.

AND THE CITY IS REACHING 9

MILLION PEOPLE.

THE SOMETIME TO MAKE THESE

DECISIONS AND TO GET THE BALL

ROLLING.

IT HAS TO START NOW.

CHINA IS DOING IT, GERMANY IS

DOING IT.

THERE ARE PRONGS OF THIS

MAGNITUDE ALL OVER THE WORLD.

>> I WAS RECENTLY IF CHINA.

THEY VISITED A SUBWAY IN THE

CITY THAT I VISIT IN THE EIGHT

YEARS.

THANK YOU FOR COMING.

>>> IS THERE STILL SEX IN THE

CITY?

SHE'S FAMOUSLY KNOWN FOR HER

BOOK WHICH GAME ICONIC BOOK,

"SEX IN THE CITY."

HER LATEST TAKES US TO THE NEXT

LEVEL.

LIFE AND LOVE, MARRIAGE,

CHILDREN, DIVORCE AND

BEREAVEMENT ALL FACTOR IN AS

WELL AS THE VERY REAL PRESSURES

WEAPON FACE IN AN ATTEMPT TO

HAVE IT ALL.

AND CANDACE JOINS US LIVE.

WELCOME TO THE PROGRAM.

>> SO I HAVE TO SAY, I HAVE BEEN

SUCH A FAN OF YOURS SINCE I

BELIEVE "SEX IN THE CITY"

DEBUTED RIGHT AS I WAS FINISHING

UP COLLEGE.

I COMPLETELY FELL IN LOVE WITH

THE NARRATIVE OF THE SERIES.

I'M SURE YOU HEARD THAT A LOT.

>> THANK YOU.

>> AS THE CHARACTERS GREW, SO

MANY OF US WHO WERE HARD CORE

FANS WANTED TO KNOW WHAT SORT OF

BECAME OF THE CHARACTERS AS TIME

GOES ON ON.

AND I FEEL LIKE THIS BOOK IN A

WAY PICKS UP THERE.

>> WELL, IN A SENSE, I THINK IT

DOES IN TERMS OF AGE.

IT IS NOT A SEQUEL TO "SEX IN

THE CITY."

>> VERY TRUE.

>> IT HAS ALL DIFFERENT

CHARACTERS.

THE FEELING THAT I HAD WHEN I

WAS WRITING "SEX IN THE CITY,"

IT IS THE SAME FEELING.

WHERE I FELT LIKE, THIS IS WOMEN

IN UNCHARTED TERRITORY.

WE HAVEN'T SEEN THESE WOMEN.

INDEED, THIS REALLY IS THE SEX

IN THE CITY WOMAN 20 YEARS LATER

FROM WHERE SHE STARTED IN THE

'90s.

I WAS SINGLE.

I HAD MY MR. BIG, BROKE UP, I

HAD MY MR. BIGGER AND I HAD MY

"SEX IN THE CITY" FRIENDS.

MOST OF THEM GOT MARRIED AND

HAVING THE REPRODUCTIVE

LIFESTYLE.

YOU'RE PARTNERED AND ALL OF

THAT.

BUT THEN 20 YEARS LATER, THINGS

CHANGE AND A LOT OF WOMEN FIND

THEMSELVES SINGLE AGAIN FOR A

LOT OF WOMEN, IT IS CHOICE.

SO IT REALLY FEELS LIKE, YES, IT

IS THAT SAME KIND OF "SEX IN THE

CITY" WOMAN BUT NOW SHE'S IN HER

50s.

>> YES.

AND IT IS EVEN MUCH MORE

SERIOUS.

IT WAS FUNNY AND FUN AND IT DID

TOUCH ON SOME SERIOUS ISSUES.

THIS BOOK DOES TOUCH ON

DIFFICULT SITUATIONS WOMEN FACE.

EVERYTHING FROM DIVORCE --

>> AND BEREAVEMENT.

AND A LOT OF THAT IS, IT IS JUST

THE REALITY OF BEING IN THESE

TYPES.

I THINK IN THE SEX IN THE CITY

YEARS, YES, SAMANTHA DID END UP,

SHE GOT CANCER IN ONE OF THE

EPISODES.

AS YOU GET OLDER, YOU START TO

DEAL, PEOPLE START TO DEAL WITH,

IN A SENSE, LIKE REAL STUFF.

IT'S HEAVIER STUFF.

THEIR PARENTS WHO, A LOT OF

PARENTS, MIGHT PASS AWAY.

THAT'S A REALITY FOR A LOT OF

PEOPLE WHEN THEY GET INTO THEIR

50s.

A FRIEND PASSES AWAY.

AND THESE, SO YOUR 50s IS, IT'S

ABOUT, YOU KNOW, YOU KIND OF

HAVE TO FIND YOURSELF AGAIN.

BUT YOU HAVE TO LEARN HOW TO

DEAL WITH LOSS.

AND MOVE ON.

AND IT IS LIKE A PASSAGE.

I FEEL LIKE I WENT THROUGH THAT

PASSAGE.

JUST BECAUSE IT TENDS TO BE ME,

SORT OF DRAMATIC, BUT THERE WERE

TYPES WHEN I WAS REALLY DOWN

WHEN I WAS WRITING THIS BOOK AND

MY FRIENDS REALLY HELPED ME.

I FEEL LIKE I CAME THROUGH

SOMETHING.

NOW DO I FEEL, MY SPIRIT FEELS

REJUVENATED.

AND THAT'S WHAT BITS.

GETTING YOUR MOJO BACK.

>> WE GO VERY MUCH INTO YOUR

LIFE AND THE LIVES OF YOUR

GIRLFRIENDS.

AND THEN ALSO, YOU DREW ON

INTERVIEWS YOU HAD WITH WOMEN IN

SIMILAR CIRCUMSTANCES.

>> YES.

WHEN I START WRITING A BOOK LIKE

THIS, ORIGINALLY, I WAS THINKING

OF IT AS SOMETHING THAT HAD A

DIFFERENT NARRATIVE.

I WAS IN THIS WORLD AND ALL

KINDS OF THINGS WERE HAPPENING

TO ME.

DATING THINGS THAT REALLY

SURPRISED US.

FOR INSTANCE, YOUNGER MEN BEING

INTERESTED IN OLDER WOMEN.

THEN I START TO SEE A PATTERN.

I START TALKING ON PEOPLE AND

BEFORE YOU KNOW IT, EVERYBODY

HAS THIS STORY.

IT HAPPENED TO A FRIEND, TO A

FRIEND OF A FRIEND.

THERE IS NOTHING IN THE BOOK

THAT JUST HAPPENED TO ONE WOMAN.

IT HAPPENS TO A LOT OF WOMEN IN

SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT WAYS.

SO THAT IS MY RESEARCH.

GOING OUT THERE AND SOMETIMES

BEING THE GUINEA PIG MILES OF

WHEN I WENT ON TINDER, THAT WAS

INTERESTING.

>> I THINK IT'S INTERESTING FOR

EVERYONE WHO VENTURES INTO

TINDER.

>> YES, I HAVE TO TILL, WHEN I

DID THAT PIECE ON TINDER, I

HADN'T LIVED, I HAD NOT LIVED

FULL TIME IN THE CITY FOR MAYBE

THREE YEARS.

MAYBE FOUR YEARS.

I WAS LIVING IN THE COUNTRY.

WHEN I CAME BACK TO THE CITY TO

DO THAT PIECE, I DIDN'T EVEN

KNOW ABOUT UBER.

EVERYBODY WAS LIKE, YOU'RE ON

UBER, YOU'RE ON UBER.

I MISS THIS.

I ALSO MISSED TINDER.

I GUESS THAT STARTED IN 2012.

I WAS NERVOUS ABOUT IT.

THE APP ITSELF CHANGED THE

PATTERNS OF DATING.

THE DATING APPS FEEL SO

PROMINENT IN PEOPLE'S MINDS THAT

A LOT OF TIMES PEOPLE FEEL LIKE

THEY CAN'T MEET JOIN WITHOUT A

DATING APP.

>> DO YOU THINK PEOPLE FEEL LIKE

THEY CAN'T EVEN INTERACT MINUS

THE DATING APPS?

>> THAT'S A GOOD QUESTION.

I THINK THE IDEA OF PEOPLE

APPROACHING PEOPLE IN PERSON, A

STRANGER, WE DON'T DO THAT SO

MUCH ANYMORE.

THAT USED TO HAPPEN SO MUCH.

THAT WAS IN THE BOOK.

THAT WAS THE NEW YORK OF THE

90s.

WE'RE HERE NOW AND NOT HERE.

SO IN A SENSE, EVERYBODY IS IN

LIKE TWO OR THREE PLACES AT

ONCE.

>> I WANT TO MAKE SURE WE HAVE A

POSITIVE VIBE TO THIS.

EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE SOME

DIFFICULT SUBJECTS, THERE ARE

SOME HAPPY ENDINGS.

>> FOR ME, THE BOOK IS REALLY

FUNNY.

AGAIN, IT WAS REALLY ABOUT KIND

OF GETTING THROUGH THIS PANG AND

COMING OUT ON THE OTHER SIDE.

DID I END UP MEETING SOMEONE

WHILE I WAS WRITING THE BOOK.

AND I WAS REALLY THINKING, MAYBE

I'LL NEVER, YOU KNOW, BE WITH

ANYBODY EVER AGAIN.

YOU KNOW, I'VE HAD A LOT OF

FRIENDS WHO, THEY'VE GONE OUT

THERE AND STARTED DATING AGAIN.

AND THEY'RE HAPPY.

>> SO WAS AT THIS TIME OWED

FASHIONED WAY?

>> IT WAS THROUGH OLD-FASHIONED

WAY.

I DID RUN INTO THIS PERSON AT A

PARTY.

MY EX-BOYFRIEND, WHICH IS KIND

OF INTERESTING, I GUESS THE FULL

CIRCLE ONLY IN NEW YORK FOLKS,

HE'S FRIENDS WITH CHRIS WHO

PLAYS --

>> STOP IT.

>> WHO PLAYS MR. BIG AND THAT'S

HOW I

>> I DO STILL SAY TO PEOPLE, IF

YOU WANT TO MEET SOMEBODY, TELL

EVERYBODY.

BECAUSE THERE'S NOTHING THAT

PEOPLE LOVE TO DO MORE THAN FIX

SOMEBODY UP.

AND I'VE FIXED UP A COUPLE OF

PEOPLE.

ONE OF THE COUPLES GOT MARRIED.

IF THAT HAPPENS, YOU FEEL LIKE,

OH, I GET A LITTLE STAR.

>> OF COURSE.

EVEN WITH THE HAPPY ENDINGS AND

THE DIFFICULT SUBJECTS TO WORK

THROUGH, THERE IS ALSO LAUGHTER

IN THE BOOK.

SO WHAT ARE SOME OF THE MORE OUT

LOUD, CHUCKLY MOMENTS THAT COME

TO MIND FOR YOU?

>> GOSH, WELL I THINK THAT SOME

OF THE SCENES WITH THE CUBS ARE

REALLY HILARIOUS.

CUBS ARE THESE YOUNG GUYS.

WE CAUSE THE OLDER WEAPON

COUGAR.

IT IS A LITTLER DEROGATORY AND

QUESTIONABLE I CALL THE WOMEN

CAT NIPS.

BECAUSE THEY'RE JUST GOING ABOUT

THEIR BUSINESS.

THEY FIND THAT THE MAJORITY OF

GUYS INTERESTED IN THEM, HITTING

ON THEM, ARE INAPPROPRIATELY

YOUNG.

20s OR MAYBE EARLY 30s.

IT ISN'T INAPPROPRIATE BUT IN A

LOT OF WOMEN'S MINDS, THEY

COULDN'T EVEN PICTURE SUCH A

THING.

SO SOME OF THOSE WERE FUNNY.

AND THEN IT WAS ALSO VERY FUNNY

WHEN I WENT ON A DATE WITH THE

OPPOSITE, AN OLDER GENTLEMAN,

WHO SAID HE WAS 68.

HE TURNLT OUT TO BE 78.

>> OH, MY GOODNESS.

THAT'S A WHOLE DIFFERENT LEVEL.

>> YES.

>> AND THEN I HAD MY TINDER

EXPERIENCES.

I THOUGHT I HAD FOUND THE TINDER

UNICORN.

THAT ONE EXTRAORDINARY GUY.

AND THEN, WE WENT OUT THREE

TYPES, TWO TIMES.

AND THE THIRD TIME, HE STOOD ME

UP AND TURNED OUT TO BE EXACTLY

WHAT EVERYBODY SAID.

IT WAS, I HAD TO LAUGH.

>> I THINK YOU HAVE TO LAUGH

ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE GOING TO BE

ON A DATING LAUGH LIKE TINDER.

DO YOU THINK THERE'S A CHANGING

NATURE ABOUT THE WAY PEOPLE TALK

ABOUT BEING SINGLE?

THERE USED TO BE A TIME WHEN

THERE WAS SOMETHING TO BE

ASHAMED OF AFTER A CERTAIN

POINT.

>> THAT HAS CHANGED SO MUCH.

>> WHAT IS INTERESTING TO ME IS

HOW MANY WOMEN ARE QUITE HAPPY

BEING SINGLE WHEN GIVEN THE

CHOICE.

THAT'S THE INTERESTING PART OF

THIS.

IT COULD BE IN THE FUTURE, WE

PROBABLY WILL LIVE MORE AND MORE

AS SINGLE PEOPLE WEST MAY HAVE

TIMES WHEN WE'RE IN A

REPRODUCTIVE TIME.

MAYBE THAT'S WHEN WE'RE GOING TO

PARTNER WITH SOMEONE.

BUT I THINK IN THE FUTURE, IT

MAY BE MORE FLEXIBLE INSTEAD OF

SO, WE HAVE SUCH A RIGID IDEA OF

WHAT RELATIONSHIPS CAN AND HAVE

TO LOOK LIKE.

AND YET THEY DON'T NECESSARILY

HAVE TO LOOK THAT WAY IF YOU'RE

NOT RAISING A CHILD, FOR

INSTANCE.

NOT EVERY RELATIONSHIP HAS TO

LOOK LIKE THAT SO THAT'S WHAT IS

INTERESTING.

>> OF COURSE WE'VE HAD THE ME

TOO MOVEMENT.

THERE IS BEEN A LOT OF

PROBLEMATIC BEHAVIOR.

DO YOU THINK THAT HAS CHANGED

THE LAND SCAPE FOR THE BETTER OR

THE WORSE?

>> WELL, YOU KNOW, I DON'T WORK

IN AN OFFICE.

>> OKAY.

AND I HAVEN'T WORKED IN AN

OFFICE PROBABLY SINCE I WAS 25.

ONE OF THE THINGS THAT DO I

REALLY REMEMBER ABOUT WORKING IN

OFFICES IS HOW MUCH OF THAT KIND

OF ME TOO BEHAVIOR GOES ON.

IT IS EVERYWHERE.

IT IS IN EVERY OCCUPATION.

AND WE'VE SEEN A FEW HIGH

PROFILE MEN.

WE HAVEN'T SEEN THE GUYS OUT

THERE WHO ARE, YOU KNOW, IN

CHARGE AT A RESTAURANT OR

SOMETHING.

WHO ARE HARASSING EMPLOYEES AND

THAT KIND OF THING.

TO ME THE BEST THING IS THAT WE

CAN TALK ABOUT IT.

WOMEN CAN BE AWARE OF IT.

WE CAN GET AN IDEA WHAT REALLY

IS THIS PROBLEM.

BEFORE, NOBODY TALKS ABOUT IT.

IT'S THERE.

I DO REMEMBER, I MADE CAREER

CHOICES SO THAT I WOULD NOT BE

HASSLED BY MEN.

I THINK OTHER PEOPLE HAVE, TOO.

AND I HAVE MADE CONSCIOUS CAREER

CHOICES TO NOT BE HASSLED BY

MEN.

>> LISTEN.

I WANT TO THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR

JOINING US ON THE SHOW.

DEFINITELY THANK YOU FOR THIS

>> THAT'S JUST BAD TELEVISION.

WHY BIG AND NOT ALEXANDER

PETROVSKY?

WHO WAS SO FLIRTACIOUS?

>> I THOUGHT HE WAS SO CREEPY.

>> BUT YOU WERE HAPPY THAT SHE

ENDED UP WITH MR. BIG AND NOT

ALEXANDER?

>> WELL, YES.

BUT I WAS ALSO HAPPY THAT SHE

DIDN'T END UP WITH AYDEN.

>> THAT NEVER WOULD HAVE WORKED.
