The Von Trapp children aren't supposed to play.

The Captain doesn't like them to get dirty.

-But they're children. They have to climb trees, roll on the grass.

-The Captain believes the best exercise is marching.

-Yes, thank you. There'll be new curtains

at the window and the alcove, and they'll be hung tomorrow.

every time he hires a new governess.

I sometimes think those children get rid of their governesses

just because they want to see their father.
