We, uh -- We are on a journey together

on a special project we did

that we went and made in Marfa, Texas,

and, um it's just -- it's a magical place.

And we're all from Texas, all different parts.

Jon and I are from Central East Texas,

There's a whole different magic.

So, we're gonna do songs off the new project tonight.

And we got up to the bunkhouse.

And J.R. says, "Hey, somebody go turn off the front-porch light."

'Cause it was the only light there,

and you could see everything in -- in the house.

And we did a round of "odd man out."

-I lost. -And Miranda lost.

[ Mumbling ]

And...she turns off the light.

Then all of a sudden, all you hear is, "Ugh! Aah!"

-[ Laughter ] -Couldn't see a damn thing.

why Jon had been trying to get us to go to Marfa

for all these years, because I'm pretty sure,

"The stars at night are big and bright

deep in the heart of Texas," was written

right underneath that sky. -Yes. Absolutely. Yeah.

-But that trip is where we started

this love affair with Marfa, and we found ourselves

We brought guitars and tequila, so what else would happen?

But...
