I feel like we're really focused, you know?

I feel like we're --

I mean, I can't say -- say it any other way.

We're, like -- I feel really focused,

and our eyes are wide open right now.

It's always easier to turn the cheek, you know,

to things that are happening in the world.

It's just the easiest thing to do.

But I feel, um, like our eyes are wide open.

I feel, you know, more than ever,

that we understand the platform we have

to encourage people to think for themselves,

and I think that this record

does that, you know? -Yeah.

-We feel like we're in a really good place,

and we're communicating really well as a band

and getting along really well,

and communication's so important in relationships, obviously.

That sounds -- I mean, obviously.

We're married to each other, you know -- to five people,

not including the other people onstage,

and it's just --

I get emotional talking about how that's not --

It's not a normal thing for a band to be along for --

Is it 12 years, 13 years now?

-It's, uh, 13.

-Ugh. Yikes.

-That makes me feel old.

-I think, I mean, I'm noticing people...

knowing the new songs more.

When we were just on the tour,

people were actually singing the new songs,

and I almost felt like they were singing the new songs

more than the old... -Yeah, yeah. They were.

-...which was pretty shocking. -Yeah, it was shocking.

-And, I mean, I think that's a great thing.

That shows that a lot of new people

are getting turned on to our stuff.

So, I think it's amazing.
