MY MOTHER'S RECORDS I HAD GROWN

BELONGED TO ME.

IT JUST SPARKED SOMETHING IN ME

I THINK I WAS 13 WHEN I WROTE MY

FIRST SONG AND NO IS A HUGE

HIP-HOP FAN FOR MANY YEARS.

THEN I DISCOVERED INDIE ROCK AND

THAT GUIDED ME ON MY CREATIVE

PATH.

IT SEEMED LIKE SOMETHING I COULD

DO.

IT WAS LOW-KEY ENOUGH WHERE I

COULD START A BAND WITH MY

FRIENDS AND WRITE SONGS AND PLAY

IN BASEMENTS ARE WHEREVER.

IT SEEMED VERY ACCESSIBLE,

ANYONE COULD PLAY INDIE ROCK.

IT'S FOR EVERYONE.

I WOULD JUST WRITE SONGS.

I LOVE COUNTRY MUSIC, ESPECIALLY

OLD COUNTRY.

MY FIRST INFLUENCES WERE PEOPLE

LIKE HANK WILLIAMS AND JOHNNY

CASH, A REALLY HONEST WAY OF

WRITING.

THAT WAS REALLY WHAT DREW ME TO

MUSIC, BEING ABLE TO EXPRESS

SOMETHING LYRICALLY AND IN SOUND

THAT WAS VERY HONEST AND VERY

EMOTIONAL.
