AND HE WAS ALSO PART OF

LOUIS ARMSTRONG'S HOT SEVENS IN

THE 1920s.

AND BY THE END OF THE 1920s, HE

HAD ONE OF THE HOTTEST

ORCHESTRAS IN NEW YORK.

SO, HE WENT FROM NEW ORLEANS TO

CHICAGO UP TO NEW YORK AND THEN

WORKED WITH LOUIS ARMSTRONG AS

HIS MUSICAL DIRECTOR AND HIS

PRIMARY ARRANGER IN THE 1930s.

ORCHESTRA THAT BECAME

LOUIS ARMSTRONG'S ORCHESTRA,
