Songwriters Under the Covers with Victoria Shaw returns with more intimate storytelling and acoustic performances from bestselling songwriters, hosted by award-winning songwriter Victoria Shaw (Garth Brooks’ “The River,” Ricky Martin and Christina Aguilera’s “Nobody Wants to be Lonely”). Shaw’s genuine friendships with fellow songwriters provide rare access to the stories behind some of pop, rock and country music’s top hits. New episodes begin with the Songwriters Under the Covers Holiday Special featuring Jim Brickman and Dave Barnes, premiering nationwide Wednesday, December 2 at 8 p.m. on the free ALL ARTS app and allarts.org/SUTC, and in the New York metro area on the ALL ARTS TV channel (channel lineups). Songwriters Under the Covers with Victoria Shaw Season 2 features six new episodes premiering nationwide Thursdays, January 14-February 18 at 8 p.m. on the free ALL ARTS app and allarts.org/SUTC, and in the New York metro area on the ALL ARTS TV channel (channel lineups). Featured guests include GRAMMY® winners Clint Black, Garth Brooks, Keb’ Mo’ and Liz Rose (Taylor Swift’s “You Belong With Me”), as well as Tommy Shaw (Styx, Damn Yankees), Shelly Peiken (Christina Aguilera’s “What a Girl Wants”) and Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee Roger Cook (“I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing (In Perfect Harmony)”). Season 2 will also premiere Fridays at 11 p.m. beginning January 15 on Nashville Public Television (NPT), which is distributing the series to other public TV stations in Tennessee (check local listings for airdates).

“I’m so excited to continue giving people a peek into the intimate behind-the-scenes stories of how and why some of the most famous songs were written,” said Host and Creator Victoria Shaw. “You met a lot of my talented songwriter friends last season, and you’ll get to meet a lot more this season, along with some insanely talented emerging artists.”

It’s exciting to have new episodes on the horizon,” said Co-Executive in Charge of ALL ARTS Diane Masciale. “We were so happy with the positive reception of the show last season, and working with Victoria on this series has been a treat. For our viewers, the show truly feels like getting a secret look behind the veil of music’s most talented minds.”

“It is a great honor that ALL ARTS wanted to take on another season of Songwriters Under the Covers with Victoria Shaw. We are incredibly proud to have been able to continue to move forward with production despite the constraints presented by the pandemic,” said Executive Producer and Director Brad Fuss. “This is exactly the type of connection and feel good content that people will especially appreciate right now.”
