Call for submissions to be included in the crowdsourced film ‘Message in a Bottle’

  |   SHARE

The interactive, crowdsourced film “Message in a Bottle” by Brooklyn-based artist Eric Corriel shows the many live that a single-use plastic water bottle will lead along its 450-year-long journey to disintegration.

For the project, the artist is issuing a call for videos of plastic bottles spotted out “in the wild.” To participate, next time you come across a discarded plastic water bottle, take a five-second video of it in landscape mode and upload to this Google form for a chance to be included in the film. Videos that are chosen will be credited.

The film will be released this October. Follow Corriel on Instagram or Twitter for updates.

Corriel is one of the New York City artists chosen for the 2021 Creative Climate Awards, which will be held this year Sept. 26 through Oct. 24.
