To call 2020 an eventful year would be an understatement. A pandemic. Racial unrest. A highly contentious presidential election. High-profile celebrity deaths. The list goes on. But as difficult and heartbreaking moments unfold, it’s often the arts that help us reflect, cope and heal. To that end, members of the Broadway’s Best for Great Performances Facebook group recently shared the show tunes they feel best represent the current moment. From “Carousel”‘s deeply moving “You’ll Never Walk Alone” to “Young Frankenstein”‘s fun, toe-tapping “Please Don’t Touch Me,” we hope there’s something here that speaks to you.
What show tune would you add to this list?
