After close to three decades on Broadway and appearing in a handful of high-profile productions, actress and singer Rebecca Eichenberger has developed a rather sanguine approach to life in the tumultuous theater industry.
“You gotta show up, you gotta do your job…” the actor, who landed her first Broadway role in “Phantom of the Opera” in 1990, said in the latest episode of “Broadway Sandwich.” “You have to be able to float.”
Eichenberger, who recently starred in “My Fair Lady” as the prim Lady Boxington, noted that her family helps her fine-tune her priorities.
“There’s balance,” she explained. “My family balances out my career. If you make your career the whole thing, you’re bound to be disappointed, because the show doesn’t love you back, as my friend Charlotte says.”
In the latest episode of “Broadway Sandwich,” Eichenberger doles out more sage wisdom and gives a tour of the “My Fair Lady” set. Watch in the video above.
